Intel Core i7-12700F to wysokiej klasy procesor do komputerów stacjonarnych oparty na architekturze Alder Lake. Został on po raz pierwszy zapowiedziany w listopadzie 2021 roku i oferuje 8 rdzeni wydajnościowych i 4 rdzenie wydajnościowe. Wydajne rdzenie (rdzenie P) obsługują HyperThreading, co prowadzi do 20 wątków, które mogą być przetwarzane jednocześnie. Wydajne rdzenie mogą taktować z częstotliwością do 4,9 GHz (Turbo Boost Max 3.0, 2,1 bazowo), a wydajne rdzenie mogą taktować z częstotliwością do 3,6 GHz (1,6 GHz bazowo). Wszystkie rdzenie mogą korzystać z 25 MB pamięci Smart Cache. Zintegrowany kontroler pamięci obsługuje do 128 GB DDR5 z prędkością 4800 MT/s (dwukanałowo).
Funkcja Thread Director (w sprzęcie) może wspierać system operacyjny w podejmowaniu decyzji, który wątek ma być używany na rdzeniach wydajnościowych lub wydajnościowych w celu uzyskania najlepszej wydajności.
W przypadku zadań AI, procesor integruje również GNA 3.0 i DL Boost. Quick Sync w wersji 8 jest taki sam jak w procesorach Rocket Lake i obsługuje sprzętowo dekodowanie MPEG-2, AVC, VC-1, JPEG, VP8, VP9, HEVC i AV1.
Modele desktopowe z serii F nie oferują zintegrowanej karty graficznej.
Procesor charakteryzuje się mocą podstawową 65 W i maksymalną mocą Turbo 180 W. Jest on produkowany w 10 nm procesie technologicznym Intela, zwanym Intel 7.
