Uruchomienie Cinebench R15 w pętli jest dość wymagające dla Ryzen 7 7840U. W rezultacie pozwala nam rzucić okiem na to, jak dobrze działa jednostka chłodząca. Wyniki uzyskane po 50 uruchomieniach pokazują, że wydajność pozostała bardzo stabilna w czasie. Ze średnim wynikiem 1,896, Minisforum Mercury Series EM780 był w stanie zapewnić sobie pozycję wicelidera w tym teście. Analiza danych procesora wykazała, że SoC zdołał utrzymać zużycie energii na poziomie 28 watów. Odnotowaliśmy szczytową temperaturę procesora na poziomie prawie 70°C (158°F), co sugeruje, że Minisforum wyposażyło EM780 w bardzo skuteczny cooler.

Minisforum Mercury Series EM780 pozostawił pozytywne wrażenie w codziennym użytkowaniu. Wyniki testu PCMark 10 również potwierdzają tę opinię. Nasz testowany egzemplarz nie był jednak w stanie dotrzymać kroku konkurentom w Crossmarku. Powtórzyliśmy test kilka razy, aby upewnić się, że nie ma żadnych problemów z testem, ale nie zmieniło to drastycznie wyników. Mimo to AMD Ryzen 7 7840U nadal osiągał fantastyczne wyniki w połączeniu z wbudowaną pamięcią.

Opóźnienie DPC

Podczas podstawowego przeglądania stron internetowych, Minisforum Mercury Series EM780 nie miał żadnych problemów ze zwiększonymi opóźnieniami. Recenzowana jednostka bez trudu poradziła sobie również z odtwarzaniem naszego testowego wideo 4K, choć zauważyliśmy kilka spadków klatek. Opóźnienie wzrosło dopiero po uruchomieniu Prime95. Uważamy jednak, że EM780 nadal będzie doskonałym klientem do strumieniowania.

Pamięć masowa

Ze względu na swoją konstrukcję, seria Mercury EM780 jest wyposażona w wyjątkowo mały dysk SSD. Dysk o długości zaledwie 30 mm (1,18 cala) został wyprodukowany przez firmę Kingston i zapewnia sprawne prędkości transferu. Przynajmniej pamięć masowa nie jest zainstalowana na stałe i można ją wymienić. Na spodzie urządzenia Minisforum umieściło dodatkowy wentylator i radiator, aby zapobiec przegrzewaniu się dysku SSD. System ten wydaje się opłacać, ponieważ prędkość odczytu pozostała stabilna przez cały test obciążeniowy. Podobnie jak jego poprzednik, EM780 może pomieścić tylko jeden dysk.

Testowanie dwóch eGPU z Minisforum Mercury Series EM780 jest skuteczne

Ponieważ Minisforum wyposażyło Mercury Series EM780 w porty USB4, ten niewielki komputer może być również używany razem z zewnętrzną kartą graficzną. Przyjrzeliśmy się wzrostowi wydajności po sparowaniu mini-PC z kartą graficzną GPD G1 a następnie z Razer Core X i kartą graficzną Nvidia GeForce RTX 3060 Ti. Podczas gdy AMD Radeon 780M oferuje już odpowiednią wydajność, podłączenie eGPU nadal zauważalnie zwiększy wydajność 3D. Czasami możliwe jest nawet granie w nowoczesne gry w rozdzielczości 1440p. Nasza jednostka testowa osiągnęła nieco ponad 30 dB(A) na biegu jałowym. Poziom hałasu wzrósł do około 32 dB(A) pod zwykłym obciążeniem i osiągnął 38 dB(A) podczas testu obciążeniowego. Warto jednak zauważyć, że wentylator na spodzie nie miał wpływu na nasze pomiary. Głównym źródłem hałasu jest wentylator CPU, który zasysa świeże powietrze z góry.

Temperatura

Nie zaobserwowaliśmy żadnych ekstremalnych wartości, jeśli chodzi o temperatury obudowy. Spód stał się nieco cieplejszy niż góra ze względu na dysk SSD i radiator. Sam procesor nagrzał się do 83,9°C (183,0°F) podczas testu obciążeniowego. Minisforum ustaliło limit termiczny dla procesora, ale nie stanowi to problemu, biorąc pod uwagę, że SoC jest w stanie pracować nieprzerwanie przy 28 W (TDP).

Minisforum Mercury Series EM780 to niezwykle mały komputer, który sprawdza się pod niemal każdym względem. Mini-PC jest wyposażony w nowoczesny ośmiordzeniowy procesor w postaci AMD Ryzen 7 7840U. Jednocześnie SoC może pochwalić się dość potężnym iGPU, które jest w stanie osiągnąć doskonałą wydajność pomimo niskiego zużycia energii. Minisforum EM780 oferuje ogromną moc na powierzchni zaledwie 80 x 80 mm (3,15 x 3,15 cala). Dobrze przysłuży się Państwu również 32 GB pamięci RAM DDR5. Niestety, pamięć nie jest ani rozszerzalna, ani wymienna, co jest jedną z wad tak kompaktowych komputerów. Z drugiej strony, możliwe jest rozszerzenie pamięci masowej w EM780. Dysk ma stosunkowo dużą pojemność 1 TB. Urządzenie charakteryzuje się nienagannym spasowaniem i wykończeniem, mimo że obudowa jest w dużej mierze wykonana z tworzywa sztucznego. To samo dotyczy również dysku SSD, który otrzymał oddzielną jednostkę chłodzącą. Poziom hałasu jest ogólnie w porządku, co oznacza, że podczas pracy komputera nie słychać żadnych irytujących dźwięków w tle. Minisforum poradziło sobie z brakiem portu Ethernet, dołączając adapter, który można podłączyć przez USB4. Cena mini-PC EM780 wynosi 729 euro (639 USD).
