Test Samsung X22 Pro

Deska do pracowania. Samsung nie jest oficjalnie obecny na naszym rynku, ale można w Polsce nabyć niektóre laptopy tego producenta. Tak jest w przypadku modelu X22. To poręczny sprzęt z ekranem 14". Tyle tylko, że koreański producent bardzo się ceni i cacko to kosztuje krocie.

Obudowa

Samsung X22 Pro przeznaczony jest dla wymagającego użytkownika ze sfery biznesu, któremu zależy na mobilności. Taką zapewniają ograniczone wymiary tego notebooka z ekranem o przekątnej 14,1" (35,81 cm) oraz waga w granicach 2,2 kg (a więc o 0,5 kg mniejsza niż laptopów z najpopularniejszym wyświetlaczem 15,4"). Pod tym względem mały Koreańczyk może się mierzyć jak równy z równym z niektórymi subnotebookami o 13-calowej matrycy.

X22 Pro zachowuje klasyczną dla Samsunga prostą linię bez zbędnych ozdobników. W obudowie dominują elementy bądź to czarne, bądź szare, bez żadnych jaskrawych ekscesów. Dzięki temu z pietyzmem spasowany notebook wygląda elegancko. Nienagannie kładąca się na platformie roboczej pokrywa pozbawiona jest mechanizmu ryglującego. Jest ona miła w dotyku.

Platforma robocza opiera się o ramę ze stopu magnezu, która objawia swoją solidności, kiedy podnosimy laptop i obracamy go w dłoniach. Skrzypienie poszycia, jeżeli nawet występuje, jest minimalne, inaczej niż w laptopach, które polegają tylko na tworzywie sztucznym. Ładnie sprawują się zawiasy, które momentalnie zatrzymują ekran w obranej pozycji. Ekranu nie można niestety położyć do końca. Może się to dawać we znaki, kiedy będziemy korzystać z notka umieszczonego na podstawce lub na kolanach.

Jak na notebook wysokiej klasy przystało, wyposażenie w złącza jest dość dobre, ale też bez przesady. Z rzadziej występujących mamy tu HDMI. Brakuje natomiast FireWire i S-Video. Złączy USB jest trójka. Nieciekawe jest miejsce, w którym wyprowadzono gniazdo karty sieciowej (środek lewek ścianki). X22 można połączyć ze stacją dokującą X-Dock.

Lapotop z wysokiej półki powinien posiadać charakterystyczne dla tejże bajery. Tymczasem w Samsungu można za takowy uznać jedynie kamerkę 1,3 Mpx na szczycie ekranu. Brakuje chociażby czytnika linii papilarnych czy modułu szyfrowania TPM. Na szczęście producenta stać na pewien gest - w zestawie otrzymujemy bowiem od razu dodatkowy akumulator 8-komorowy o pojemności 77 Wh.

Osprzęt

Klawiatura obejmuje 89 płytek o wymiarach około 1,4 x 1,5 cm. Klawisze są dobrze umocowane i budzą przyjemne odczucia przy kontakcie dotykowym. Niestety, Samsung optuje za tym, że Fn znajdował się w miejscu lewego Ctrl. Klawiatura jest strukturalnie stabilna i ugina się co najwyżej minimalnie. Poza tym nie ma tu na co narzekać.

Klawiatura X22 Pro pokryta jest warstwą antyseptyczną. Wynalazek ten sprawdza się może w lodówkach i pralkach, ale w laptopie jej podatność na ścieranie mechaniczne przy intensywnym użytkowaniu każe się zastanowić, czy ma jakikolwiek sens.

Myszę zastępuje touchpad, którego tabliczka ma wymiary 6,9 na 4,1 cm. Zarówno od strony kontaktowej jak i funkcjonalnej zalicza się on do najlepszych urządzeń wskazujących, z jakimi mieliśmy do czynienia. Działa naprawdę dokładnie i pozwala na wygodne i sprawne kierowanie kursorem. Właściwości ślizgowe nieco szorstkawej powierzchni tabliczki są dobre. Touchpad wyłączymy kombinacją Fn+F10.

Towarzyszące gładzikowi przyciski nie spodobały się nam. Są spore, to dobrze, ale wydają się mało konkretne i trochę za bardzo latają przy wciskaniu. Poza tym wytwarzany klik jest zdecydowanie za głośny.

Matowa matryca 14,1" WXGA (1280x800) produkcji samego Samsunga nie daje mocnych refleksów, co sugerowałoby, że okaże się wysoce funkcjonalna. Niestety, jest ona niedostatecznie podświetlona. Maksymalna luminancja wynosi tylko 128,9 cd/m² , a przeciętna - 121 cd/m². Tym samym wyświetlany przez nią obraz nie nadaje się do komfortowej pracy na zewnątrz, gdyż jest zdecydowanie za ciemny. Trzeba natomiast przyznać, że podświetlenie, choć słabe, jest wyjątkowo homogeniczne. Współczynnik rozświetlenia wynosi aż 87,5%. Maksymalny kontrast nie rozpieszcza, gdyż kształtuje się na poziomie 215:1. Nie stwierdziliśmy w czasie testów żadnych oznak efektu smużenia.

Kąty widzenia w poziomie są w porządku, natomiast te w zakresie pionowym wyglądają znacznie gorzej. W razie odchylenia ekranu od idealnej pozycji kontrast spada błyskawicznie i z pola widzenia giną nam istotne szczegóły odwzorowywanego obrazu.

Co prawda laptop Samsunga jest mały i lekki, ale jego podzespoły mają spory ciężar gatunkowy. Testowany przez nas model wyposażony był w procesor Intel Core 2 Duo T7500 (2,2 GHz), który będzie sobie dobrze radził z wymagającymi sporej wydajności operacjami.

Serwowanie grafiki odbywa się za pomocą autonomicznego układu AMD/ATI Mobility Radeon HD 2400. Czytelnik może go pomylić MR HD 2400 XT, do którego jednak sporo mu brakuje. Układy te różnią się bowiem wyraźnie taktowaniem (zegar rdzenia zwykłej HD tyka z częstotliwością 450 a nie 600 MHz, a pamięci - 500 w miejsce 700 MHz). Karty te posiadają tyle samo jednostek strumieniowych i obie mają 64-bitową magistralę pamięci (podobnie zresztą jak GF 8400M GS, której wydajność jest bardzo zbliżona do HD 2400). MR HD 2400 posiada 128 MB własnej pamięci, przekracza więc próg 64 MB, czego wymagają niektóre gry (np. Wiedźmin i NWN2).

Ograniczone zasoby mocy MR HD 2400 nie pozwalają tej karcie obsłużyć płynnie bardziej wymagającej części nowszych gier i to pomimo obniżonych ustawień. W rozdzielczości 1024x768 i przy średnim poziomie szczegółowości World in Conflict okazał się być niegrywalny.

Hałas

Pomimo wsadzenia do niewielkiego Samsunga relatywnie mocnych podzespołów, laptop ten jest mało hałaśliwy. Kiedy wybierzemy oszczędny tryb zasilania, z komputera dociera do ucha siedzącego przy nim użytkownika szmer o natężeniu 33,4 dB. Nawet jeśli już słychać pracujący wentylator, hałas wzrasta niewiele, bo tylko do 35 dB. Dysku nie słychać prawie w ogóle.

W konfrontacji z dużym obciążeniem X22 Pro wentylator systemowy staje się wyraźnie słyszalny. Hałas osiąga maksymalne natężenie 39,4 dB, co czyni notebook Samsunga głośniejszym niż konkurencyjny ThinkPad T61. W sumie jednak dobiegający z komputera szum jest i wówczas do zniesienia.

Ciepło

Chłodna obudowa to bardzo pożądana właściwość laptopa biurowego - Samsung X22 nie do końca spełnia ten warunek, gdyż jego spód nagrzewa się odczuwalnie, maksymalnie do około 39 stopni. Pulpit pozostaje wyraźnie chłodniejszy, gdyż temperatura dochodzi tam do ponad 35. Średnia temperatura maksymalna wierzchniej strony pulpitu nieznacznie wykracza poza 30 stopni.

Generalnie więc sytuacja przedstawia się zupełnie nieźle. Biorąc zaś pod uwagę to , że w przypadku używania komputera na kolanach, będziemy raczej obstawać przy ustawieniach energooszczędnych, bez wykorzystywania pełni mocy, jaką rozporządza komputer, praca nie powinna wiązać się z nieprzyjemnymi doznaniami.

Nie powinno się od nich zbyt wiele wymagać. Głośniczki umieszczone są za klawiaturą i mocniejsze podkręcenie regulatora wprawia aluminiowe zwieńczenie pulpitu w wibracje. Tony średnie są jako takie, ale po za tym o jakości dźwięku nie można powiedzieć wielu ciepłych słów.

Wydajność akumulatora

Na tle innych laptopów z jego kategorii wielkościowej Samsung X22 Pro wypada w tej dziedzinie o tyle korzystnie, że jego nabywca otrzymuje w zestawie od razu dwa akumulatory. Pierwszy z nich, 4-komorowy o pojemności 38,48 Wh mieści się zgrabnie w obrysie obudowy i wystarcza na godzinę-dwie. Większy, 8-komorowy (76,96 Wh), wystaje nieco poza tył notebooka, ale potrafi zasilać komputer przez dwie do trzech i pół godziny. Wykorzystując w pełni oba akumulatory, można więc pracować na laptopie przez pół dnia roboczego, będąc odciętym od zasilania sieciowego. Baterie ważą w sumie 648 g, co jest niebagatelne, jeśli zabieramy Samsunga w drogę.

Oba akumulatory posiadają wskaźniki stanu naładowania, który można kontrolować poprzez naduszenie we wskazanym miejscu. Ładowanie zabiera po około dwie godziny na każdy (czyli trwa krótko) i to niezależnie od tego czy laptop jest na chodzie czy wyłączony.

Podsumowanie

Samsung X22 Pro to lekki, nowoczesny notebook użytkowy, którego cena jest jednak dość niebotyczna jak na nasze warunki i wobec tego, co ma do zaproponowania konkurencja. Tym samym w naszym kraju może on zaciekawić chyba wyłącznie koneserów tej cenionej w Europie Zachodniej marki laptopów.

Na rzecz tego notka przemawiają niewielka waga, świetne wykonanie i wysokiej jakości materiały konstrukcyjne (magnezowa rama). Do plusów zaliczyć też można względnie wydajne podzespoły (można znaleźć "14" z mocniejszymi kartami graficznymi, ale większość posiada słabsze).

Gorsze noty można wystawić Samsungowi za pracę na akumulatorze (kiedy użyć obu baterii, można uzyskiwać świetne przebiegi, ale - no, właśnie; trzeba kombinować z dwiema), słabiutko podświetloną matrycę (choć matowa, nie da się na niej pracować na powietrzu), a także brak modułu szyfrującego TPM (za te pieniądze powinien zmieścić się w standardzie).
