Dobrze dobrane rozwiązanie. Acer Aspire 5 ma na pokładzie procesor Tiger Lake, prawie się nie nagrzewa i wytwarza tylko minimalny hałas. Ponadto oferuje podświetlaną klawiaturę, akceptowalny czas pracy na baterii, a także dwuletnią gwarancję. Cały pakiet jest dostępny za niecałe 500 euro.

Seria Aspire 5 firmy Acer składa się z niezliczonych modeli (procesory Intel jak i AMD, z/ bez dGPU), które stanowią chleb powszedni firmy Acer. Przedstawiony tu model - 15,6-calowy notebook biurowy - jest napędzany przez Pentium Gold 7505 procesor (Tiger Lake) i można go mieć za około 500 euro. Testowaliśmy już identycznego, droższego przedstawiciela tej serii, tj Aspire 5 A515-56-511A (Core i5-1135G7, 16 GB Ram, 1 TB SSD). Obudowa i łączność - A515 bez czytnika kart pamięci

Srebrno-szara obudowa składa się z elementów metalowych (wieko) i plastikowych (jednostka zasadnicza). Acer postawił na matowe, gładkie powierzchnie. Zarówno jednostkę zasadniczą, jak i wieko można lekko skręcić, ale nie widać żadnych śladów złego wykończenia. Akumulator (przykręcony nie przyklejony) jak i pozostałe elementy wewnętrzne są dostępne po zdjęciu spodniej obudowy. Wbudowana kamerka internetowa (0,9 MP, maks. 1280 x 720 pikseli) nie posiada mechanicznej osłony.

Komputer posiada trzy porty USB-A (1x USB 2.0, 2x USB 3.2 Gen 1) oraz gniazdo USB-C (USB 3.2 Gen 1). To ostatnie nie obsługuje ani Power Delivery, ani DisplayPort przez USB-C. Oznacza to, że dzięki złączu HDMI dostępne jest tylko jedno wyjście wideo. Na pokładzie nie ma też czytnika kart pamięci.

Prędkości transferu WLAN są dobre, ustalone w optymalnych warunkach (brak innych urządzeń obsługujących WLAN w pobliżu, niewielka odległość między laptopem a komputerem serwerowym), ale nie odpowiadają w pełni możliwościom układu WiFi (MediaTek MT7921; 802.11ax).

Podświetlane klawisze klawiatury typu chiclet (jeden poziom jasności) mają krótki skok i wyraźny punkt nacisku. Opór stawiany przez klawisze jest akceptowalny. Podczas pisania klawiatura lekko się chwieje, co nie okazało się zbyt dokuczliwe. Podsumowując, Acer dostarczył klawiaturę nadającą się do codziennego użytku.

Podkładka z funkcją wielodotyku (ok. 10,5 x 7,8 cm) zastępuje mysz. Jej gładka powierzchnia ułatwia przesuwanie palców.

Podkładka reaguje również na ruchy w narożnikach. Podkładka ma zarówno krótki skok, jak i wyraźny punkt nacisku.

Matowy ekran 15,6 cala (1920 x 1080 pikseli) zostawia konkurencję w tyle dzięki dobremu współczynnikowi kontrastu 1800:1. W obszarze maksymalnej jasności ekranu (251,8 cd/m²) nie udało się osiągnąć wartości, którą uważamy za przyzwoitą (300 cd/m² lub więcej, czyli), a na zasilaniu akumulatorowym panel jest jeszcze mniej jasny. Ogólnie rzecz biorąc, konkurencja nie wypada lepiej. Pozytywne: niezależnie od ustawienia jasności panel nie wykazuje migotania PWM.

Ekran wyświetla kolory prawidłowo po wyjęciu z pudełka: przy odchyleniu 3,58 cel (DeltaE < 3) jest ledwo osiągnięty. Kalibracja nie jest zalecana: choć wyświetlana jest bardziej równomierna skala szarości, zwiększa ona również odchylenie kolorów do 4,85.

Ekran nie może wyświetlać przestrzeni barwnych AdobeRGB (38%), sRGB (56%) i DCI-P3 (37%). Z tego powodu panel nie jest stworzony do scenariuszy aplikacji, które wymagają dokładnego odwzorowania kolorów. Pod tym względem konkurencja nie wypada lepiej.

Acer oferuje Aspire 5 A515-56 - laptop biurowy w formacie 15,6 cala - w niezliczonych konfiguracjach od 400 do 900 euro. Testowany tu model znajduje się w dolnej połowie tego przedziału cenowego. Tiger Lake stosowane są tu procesory od Pentium do Core i7. Niektóre (droższe) jednostki SKU mają m.in GeForce MX450dzięki czemu możliwe są zarówno gry, jak i zastosowania wymagające intensywnej grafiki.

Warunki badania

Użytkownik może wybrać jeden z trzech preinstalowanych profili wydajności ("tryb normalny", "tryb wydajności", "tryb cichy") za pomocą kombinacji klawiszy "Fn" + "F". Test został przeprowadzony z aktywnym profilem "tryb normalny". Nie wykryto żadnych różnic w wydajności pomiędzy profilami. W każdym razie limity mocy procesora wynoszą 15 watów (PL1) i 38 watów (PL2).

Procesor

Na stronie .Pentium Gold 7505dwurdzeniowy procesor ( rodzinaTiger Lake ) pracuje z bazową prędkością zegara 2 GHz. Wzrost do 3,5 GHz jest możliwy dzięki trybowi turbo. Obsługiwany jest Hyper-Threading (dwa wątki na rdzeń).

Test wielowątkowy Cinebench R15 jest początkowo przeprowadzany z częstotliwością 3,4 GHz, a następnie taktowanie spada do poziomu od 3 do 3,2 GHz. Test jednowątkowy jest przeprowadzany z częstotliwością od 1,9 do 3,4 GHz. Na akumulatorze prędkości taktowania są znacznie niższe. Test pętli CB R15 potwierdza trwałe wykorzystanie turbo procesora. Pentium plasuje się w dolnej części tabeli wydajności, ale jest dobrym wyborem do prostego, niedrogiego laptopa biurowego. W codziennym użytkowaniu (biuro, internet, streaming) procesor radzi sobie dobrze, nie napotykając na żadne problemy.
