Godna uwagi jest zwłaszcza poprawa wydajności zintegrowanego z tym procesorem układu grafiki HD Graphics 620 w porównaniu z jego odpowiednikiem z procesorów Intel Skylake (HD Graphics 520).
Zacznijmy jednak od wydajności CPU. W teście jednowątkowym Cinebench R15 Core i7-7500U osiągnął wynik o 10-25% lepszy od rezultatów procesora Core i7-6500U z trzech różnych laptopów. W teście wielowątkowym tej samej aplikacji Core i7-7500U okazał się o 2-11% gorszy od Core i7-6500U.
