Przejdźmy zatem do kwestii, które budzą mieszane uczucia, wśród których wymienić trzeba klawiaturę. Z jednej strony klawisze są bardzo wygodne w użytkowaniu, a ich układ całkiem ergonomiczny, ale z drugiej pozbawiona została podstawowych przycisków (np. Print Screen) i całej sekcji numerycznej, pomimo niezagospodarowanego miejsca po bokach. Najwięcej emocji budzi jednak wydajność TUF Gaming Dash F15, która miejscami pokazuje pazur, szczególnie w tytułach, gdzie 4-rdzeniowy procesor nie ogranicza tak bardzo Geforce’a RTX 3070, co pozwala dystansować się względem modeli z RTX 20xx na pokładzie. Innym razem jednak F15 potrafi wypaść słabiej niż laptopy z odpowiednikiem z rodziny Turing.

Jeśli zaś chodzi o cenę, to póki co w przedsprzedaży dostępna jest tylko testowa konfiguracja w cenie 8499 PLN. To nie jest mało, tym bardziej, że porównywalny model TUF Gaming A15 z procesorem AMD Ryzen 7 5800H kosztuje 500 PLN mniej. Można jednak oczekiwać, że za kilka tygodni pojawią się bardziej przystępne cenowo modele, wyposażone w słabsze procesory i układy graficzne, które będą bardzo ciekawym wyborem na tle konkurencji. Jeśli pogodzicie się ze średniej jakości matrycą i brakiem kamerki do wideo rozmów, to myślę, że będziecie bardzo zadowoleni z zakupu.

Asus TUF Dash jest jednym z pierwszych laptopów na rynku zaopatrzonych w mobilny układ graficzny z rodziny Ampere, GeForce RTX 3070. To jednak nie jedyna nowość, jaką znajdziemy w tym urządzeniu. Laptop wyposażony jest też w pierwszy procesor Intela wykonany w procesie technologicznym 10 nanometrów i przeznaczony do urządzeń gamingowych, Core i7-11370H. Poza tym Dash F15 wyposażony jest też w świetny 240-hercowy ekran oraz pojemną baterię, która pozwala na długą pracę z dala od źródła zasilania. To wszystko brzmi jak spełnienie marzeń niejednego gracza, jednak w praktyce wcale nie jest tak idealnie.

The ASUS TUF Dash F15 is one of the most interesting laptops in the series so far. It’s the company’s solution to provide people with mobility, functionality, and durability all at a relatively affordable price. Although it’s not without any problems of its own, it still checks the boxes with its good performance, great battery life, and aesthetically pleasing form factor. If there are things that could be improved, it would certainly be the addition of a built-in webcam, so we could at least have biometric login and maybe a more neutral backlight color for a more professional look. But at this price along with its performance, there’s not much to complain about other than that. Sadly this particular configuration is not available in the Philippines, but at least we get a sneak peek of what the ASUS TUF Dash F15 is fully capable of.

This is a bummer in the times we live, and we can’t tell why ASUS hasn’t done their best to put one, or at least include one in a bundle. Also, the laptop gets pretty loud and hot on the outside, so we would advise an external keyboard, and a good set of headphones.

Having used the TUF Dash F15 for the last weeks, it kind of grew on me. It proved to be a snappy and efficient daily multitasker, as well as a better gamer than I expected from a laptop built on a 4Core platform in 2021. Yes, the 4C Tiger Lake H35 processor is a tough sell, but it will make sense later in the year once this series is available with mid-tier Ampere graphics and at more affordable prices. And that's because this can truly game, with minor performance bottlenecks in the recent AAA games, but also because it's a well-balanced package, ticking the right boxes when it comes to the design, screens, inputs, connectivity, and thermals/noise levels. We'll get in-depth on all these aspects in the detailed review down below.

That said, the TUF Dash F15’s gaming performance is only status quo with last-generation gaming notebooks since its GPU is constrained to a low power level; from what we are seeing in the early going, not all RTX 3070 notebooks are created equal. At least it runs relatively cool and quiet. Value-wise, our $1,699 test model looks great in white, but it’s pricey next to the dark gray $1,449 Best Buy model that offers nearly identical features. The entry-level $1,099 Best Buy model looks like an even better value. If you do decide to go TUF, just remember to also budget for an external webcam.
