Test Fujitsu Siemens Amilo Pi 2550

Jak zaklęty. Fujitsu-Siemens nie jest marką wiodącą czy szczególnie renomowaną, ale cieszy się zainteresowaniem ze względu na to, iż oferuje laptopy w niewygórowanych cenach. Model Amilo Pi 2550 dysponuje kartą graficzną MR HD 2400 jest rywalem HP Paviliona z serii dv6700, Della Vostro 1500 i BenQ R56.

Obudowa

Fujitsu Siemens Amilo Pi 2550

Amilo Pi 2550 jest (prawie) cały ciemny, a jego charakterystyczną ozdobę stanowi pręga przechodząca na wskroś klapy. Obudowa wykonana jest z tworzywa sztucznego, które cechuje się jakością adekwatną do segmentu, w którym plasuje się ten laptop (najtańszych laptopów z niezintegrowaną kartą graficzną). Jest ona dość smukła (platforma robocza wysokości 3 cm), a to dzięki odpowiedniemu wyprofilowaniu ścianek bocznych. Pomimo tego zabiegu wyszczuplającego Pi 2550 nie jest jednak pięknością.

Notebook ten nie jest dość solidny, co objawia się, kiedy obracamy go w rękach. Najwięcej frasunku przysparzał nam umieszczony z przodu na spodzie akumulator, który zamontowano akurat w miejscu, gdzie chwyta się laptop podczas pracy na kolanach. Bateria spoczywa w swojej wnęce dość luźno, przez co w razie ściśnięciu wędruje odrobinę wgłąb obudowy, wskutek czego użytkownik ma wrażenie, że całość się ugina i na dodatek trzeszczy. Chrzęsty tak sobie spasowanego tworzywa odzywają się zresztą często i dobiegają z różnych miejsc, kiedy przenosi się lub przestawia komputer. Przesłony na spodzie okazały się mocno elastyczne.

Wieko ugina się w nieznacznym stopniu. Zawiasy na jakich spoczywa klapa nie budzą zaufania. Są jakieś takie delikatne, mało masywne. Klapa nie chodzi na nich przesadnie lekko, ale dość mocno kołysze się w chwilę po zmianie ustawienia i przy okazji wstrząsów. Wyginanie na boki znosi w miarę dobrze. Wewnętrzna ramka z polerowanego czarnego tworzywa przydaje Amilo Pi 2550 wdzięku i sprawia, że wydaje się on znacznie bardziej estetyczny od niektórych konkurencyjnych konstrukcji.

Rozmieszczenie złączy wydaje się po myśli użytkownika. Większość portów znalazła się z tyłu, gdzie dołączane kabelki nie będą utrudniać manipulowania myszką czy innymi peryferiami. Kontrowersyjny może być  pomysł z jednym tylko portem USB z boku, ale dla większości użytkowników nie będzie to zawadą. Pi 2550 posiada złącze DVI-D, co nie jest regułą (z wymienionych we wstępie rywali adekwatnego interfejsu cyfrowego nie posiada tylko laptop Della).

Osprzęt

Klawiatura Amilo ma dość nietypowy układ, którego najefektowniejszym elementem jest rzadko spotykany gruby Enter. Jest on dwukondygnacyjny i ma on wymiary 3,5 na 2,5 cm w najwęższym miejscu. W niecodziennym miejscu, na prawym skraju dolnego rzędu, znajduje się klawisz Del. Niewielka spacja ma tylko niespełna 8 cm. Nieergonomiczne są drobne strzałki, które mierzą tylko nieco ponad 1 cm na wysokość.

Jeżeli chodzi o kulturę pracy, generalnie ujdzie, ale wychwyciliśmy kilka mankamentów. Przede wszystkim zdecydowanie głośne są klawisze Enter, Backspace i (trochę mniej) prawy Shift. Utrudnione jest korzystanie ze wciskanej kciukiem spacji – klawisz ten sąsiaduje z krawędzią pulpitu.  Tym samym kontakt kciuka z tą ostatnią jest właściwie nieunikniony (ale da się z tym żyć).

Jak na laptop ze stajni Fujitsu, uginanie się klawiatury nie jest najgorsze – co prawda zapada się ona wyraźnie, ale praktycznie wyłącznie w lewej części.  

Touchpad nie był, niestety, w stanie podołać naszym wysokim wymogom. Właściwości ślizgowe tabliczki okazały się dość marne, nie na tyle jednak, by w ogóle nie korzystać z tego urządzenia wskazującego. mozolnie pracujące przewijanie w pionie zniechęca do siebie.

Niezbyt mądrze pomyślane są przyciski towarzyszące. Faktycznie pomocne rowki (można trafiać po ciemku) są ustawiane tak, że skłaniają do korzystania po zewnętrznej. Jest to trochę nienaturalne, ale słuszne – bowiem po wewnętrznej nieco głośniejszy klik.

F-S Amilo 2550 otrzymał błyszczącą matrycę 15,4" WXGA, którą dostarczyła firma LG Display. Od początku bardzo przypadła nam ona do gustu, a i w ciągu trwania testów nasz entuzjazm w stosunku do niej nie osłabł. Głównymi zaletami tego wyświetlacza były w naszym mniemaniu mocne i zadowalająco równomierne podświetlenie oraz niezły balans barw.

Przeprowadzone pomiary wykazały, że maksymalna luminancja wynosi średnio 180 cd/m², a w najjaśniejszym punkcie sięga 219,9 cd/m². Rozświetlenie kształtuje się na przyzwoitym poziomie 75,3%. Kontrast z kolei jest taki sobie, gdyż wyraża się proporcją 200:1.

Osiągi

Testowany przez nas egzemplarz wyposażony był w procesor Core 2 Duo T5450 (1,66 GHz), czyli najsłabszą jednostkę, jaką oferuje producent. Jego wydajność można porównywać do Turiona 64 X2 TL-64 oraz Pentium Dual Core T2370. Naszym zdaniem nie warto sięgać po wersje z lepszym procesorem, jako że wydajność T5450 powinna być w pełni wystarczająca do zastosowań domowych, a jest to model względnie tani. Trzeba jednak powiedzieć, że BenQ proponuje (za podobną kwotę) w swoim R56 dużo mocniejszy procesor T7250.

Amilo Pi 2550 dysponuje kartą graficzną Mobility Radeon HD 2400. Można powiedzieć, że jest ona dwukrotnie mniej wydajna od MR HD 2600. Taką właśnie różnicę można obserwować nie tylko w testach syntetycznych, ale i w co bardziej wymagających grach, których wersje demonstracyjne uruchamialiśmy na tym komputerze. Na podstawie przedstawionego poniżej zestawienia można sobie wyrobić zgodny z prawdą pogląd, że MR HD 2400 nie jest układem pozwalającym na komfortowe raczenie się najnowszymi tytułami. Można oczywiście próbować walczyć przy ograniczonym poziomie szczegółów i rozdzielczości, ale cudów nie będzie.

Dysk twardy WD o pojemności 250 GB i prędkości 5400 obr/min wykazał się w teście przyzwoitymi osiągami.

Laptopy Fujitsu-Siemens uchodzą generalnie za głośne. W tych okolicznościach byliśmy zdumieni tym, jak sprawował się testowany przez nas Amilo Pi 2550.

Maksymalny hałas powodowany przez układ chłodzenia to zaledwie 34,3 dB. Dotyczy to zarówno bezczynnego działania komputera, wykorzystywania go do wykonywania prostych czynności przy nastawieniu na oszczędność energii, jak i wysokich obciążeń w trybie maksymalnej wydajności. Kiedy żeglujemy sobie po sieci, a laptop spoczywa na naszych kolanach, wentylator daje o sobie znać raz na godzinę czy wręcz półtorej i brzęczy niegłośno przez około pół minuty.

Co więcej, w modelu Pi 2550 skuteczny jest rozpowszechniony szeroko w laptopach Fujitsu-Siemens patent z kneflem oznaczonym symbolicznym wiatrakiem. Jego naciśnięcie przynosi przetaktowanie procesora (FSB 166 MHz, mnożnik x6, CPU 1000 MHz), a pracujący wentylator milknie w tej samej chwili.  To bardzo fajne i pożyteczne rozwiązanie, które przydaje się, kiedy trzeba na cito wyciszyć komputer.

Szum talerzy dysku twardego jest nikły, a napęd optyczny też nie hałasuje nadmiernie.

Tym samym notebook F-S zasłużył na bardzo wysokie noty w tej kategorii ocennej.

Ciepło

Ceną za nienatarczywą pracę wentylacji jest mocne nagrzewanie się obudowy Amilo 2550. W efekcie testów obciążeniowych przeprowadzanych na biurku notowaliśmy około 44°C. Trochę strach myśleć, jak wyglądałoby to latem, przy zdecydowanie wyższej temperaturze panującej w otoczeniu.

Sprawy mają się niezbyt dobrze także podczas umiarkowanej pracy z laptopem na kolanach. Dwie i pół godziny przy ustawieniu na oszczędność energii wystarczyły, by komputer nagrzał się niewiele mniej niż w stresie, to jest do około 41°C na spodzie.

Mieszczą się one w przedniej części obudowy, pod samym jej czubem. Grają słabo, kierując emitowany dźwięk w podłoże.

Wydajność akumulatora

Akumulator testowanego przez nas modelu miał pojemność 4400 mAh (48,8 Wh, z tym że wskutek 2% zużycia maksymalny nagromadzony ładunek wyrażał się wartością 47,7 Wh). Osiągane przy jego udziale czasy pracy wyniosły w naszych testach od niespełna półtorej do trzech godzin (na minimalnej jasności można pracować bez obaw o komfort czy stan zdrowia). W normalnym użytkowaniu posiadacz komputera będzie notował przebiegi w wymiarze około dwóch godzin, czyli bliskie czasom uzyskiwanym przez nas w trybie WiFi.

Podsumowanie

Fujitsu-Siemens Amilo 2550 jest naturalnym konkurentem Paviliona z GF 8400M GS i BenO R56 z GF 8400M G. Dysponuje bowiem kartą niezintegrowaną i cyfrowym portem obrazu DVI. Odstaje on od swoich rywali wyglądam a także solidnością obudowy. Jednym z mankamentów Amilo Pi 2550 jest też kiepska klawiatura (to już zresztą przywara większości, o ile nie wszystkich laptopów F-S).

Tradycyjnie już mocnym punktem notebooków japońsko-niemieckiej marki są dobre matryce. I tym razem byliśmy zadowoleni z wyświetlacza, z którym przyszło nam pracować. Zaplusował on mocnym podświetleniem i względnie naturalnym odwzorowaniem kolorów.

Największe wrażenie zrobiła na nas jednak praca wentylacji. Notebooki Fujitsu-Siemens uchodzą za maszyny nader głośne, tymczasem Amilo 2550 błysnął cichą pracą, o której jego konkurenci (HP i BenQ, bo Dell wypada pod tym względem równie dobrze) mogą tylko pomarzyć. W dodatku dzięki patentowi z przetaktowaniem procesora za naciśnięciem guzika komputer może się stać prawie bezgłośny.

Pewnym mankamentem, który nie dawał się tak we znaki wczesną wiosną, było dość mocne nagrzewanie się korpusu laptopa, który średnio nadaje się do pracy na kolanach.

Długość pracy na akumulatorze nie jest w pełni satysfakcjonująca, ale osiągane przebiegi są na miarę możliwości HP Paviliona, a wyraźnie dłuższe od słabiutkiego w tym aspekcie BenQ R56.
