Asus UX310UA to ultrabook z dość dobrą, 13-calową matrycą i procesorem Intel Kaby Lake. W testowanym egzemplarzu część pamięci RAM była wlutowana. Poza dyskiem SSD mógłby on otrzymać drugi dysk (2,5").

Obudowa

ZenBook kojarzy się ze smukłym, lekkim laptopem. Cechy właściwe dla tej serii występują w omawianym laptopie. Aluminiowy dekiel jest ozdobiony występującym także w innych ZenBookach wzorem koncentrycznych linii. Rogi korpusu są zaokrąglone. Jednostkę zasadniczą można wykrzywić tylko przy użyciu pewnej siły. Do wykrzywienia pokrywy ekranu potrzeba natomiast niewielkiej siły. Wskutek nacisku na wieko w obrazie pojawiają się krótkotrwałe przebarwienia. Zawiasy nie chodzą zbyt ciężko. W przypadku wstrząsów i wykonywania z laptopem gwałtownych ruchów ekran chybocze się przez chwilę.

W celu zdjęcia spodniej, aluminiowej osłony jednostki zasadniczej trzeba odkręcić dziesięć małych śrubek Torx oraz jeszcze dwie śrubki ukryte pod tylnymi nóżkami. W konsekwencji tej czynności można wyczyścić wentylator lub wymienić dające się wymienić podzespoły. Asus UX310UA posiada cztery porty USB, w tym jeden port USB typu C. Omawiany model ma też normalnej wielkości HDMI oraz czytnik kart pamięci. Wszystkie złącza znajdują się na ściankach bocznych obudowy (w ich tylnych częściach). Z powodu ograniczeń przestrzennych porty są umieszczone relatywnie blisko siebie. UX310UA nie posiada wbudowanego napędu DVD.

Osprzęt

Klawisze mają wymiary 17 x 15 mm. Są zatem dość duże. Podobać mogą się też odpowiednio duże odstępy między klawiszami. Klawisze kierunkowe są nieco zbyt małe (o ponad połowę mniejsze od klawiszy alfanumerycznych). Trzystopniowe podświetlenie pomaga użytkownikowi podczas pracy po ciemku.

Skok klawiszy jest relatywnie krótki (1,6 mm) i mógłby być wyraźniejszy. W związku z tym klawiatura wydaje się trochę nijaka. Sytuację poprawiłoby lepsze amortyzowanie klawiszy. Klawiatura nadaje się do podstawowej obsługi komputera, ale do pisania lepsze są klawiatury niektórych konkurencyjnych laptopów.

Płytka dotykowa jest dość duża (10,5 x 7,4 cm). Stosunkowo gładka powierzchnia pozwala na bezproblemowe przesuwanie po niej suchego palca. Wystarczy jednak, że palec będzie trochę wilgotny a ślizg przestaje być płynny. Dotyk wielopunktowy funkcjonował prawidłowo. Zintegrowane przyciski w dolnej części gładzika działają niemal bezskokowo, z cichym klikiem.

Asus UX310UA został wyposażony w tę samą matrycę, którą posiadał przetestowany przez nas wcześniej Asus UX310UQ [wersja z procesorem i7-7500U - recenzji tego modelu nie opublikowaliśmy na łamach Notebookcheck.pl - przyp. tłum.]. To ekran 13,3" o rozdzielczości 1920 x 1080 pikseli produkcji AU Optronics (AUO272D). Wyniki testów parametrów obrazu w tych dwóch laptopach nieco się różnią.

Średnia luminancja przy maksymalnej intensywności podświetlenia wyniosła 347 cd/m². Obraz jest więc wystarczająco jasny, by dało się pracować w mocno oświetlonym miejscu. Przy wyświetlaniu czarnego obrazu nie było widać przesadnych ulotów światła. Jasność obrazu jest regulowana modulacją PWM.

W stanie fabrycznym średni błąd dE2000 dla kolorów wynosił 5,22 a dla szarości - 6,69. To nie najgorsze wyniki. Po kalibracji te parametry obrazu uległy lekkiej poprawie. Zmniejszyło się też zaniebieszczenie obrazu. Paleta barw obejmuje 91% przestrzeni kolorów sRGB i 59% przestrzeni Adobe RGB. To całkiem zacne wartości.

UX310UA ma matową matrycę o dużej jasności obrazu, więc nadaje się do używania na dworze nawet przy świecącym słońcu. Załączone zdjęcia dobrze pokazują, jak wygląda to w praktyce. W cieniu pracuje się na omawianym laptopie bardzo dobrze. Można nawet zmniejszyć jasność obrazu.

Display Response Times

The frequency of 200 Hz is relatively low, so sensitive users will likely notice flickering and experience eyestrain at the stated brightness setting and below.

In comparison: 53 % of all tested devices do not use PWM to dim the display. If PWM was detected, an average of 17924 (minimum: 5 - maximum: 3846000) Hz was measured.

Kąty widzenia są dość szerokie. Przy patrzeniu na ekran pod ostrym kątem widać jednak pogorszenie jakości obrazu.

Osiągi

Testowany Asus UX310UA był wyposażony w procesor Core i7-7500U, 16 GB pamięci RAM (w tym 8 GB to pamięć wlutowana a 8 GB to moduł zamontowany w jedynym gnieździe SO-DIMM) oraz dysk SSD o pojemności 256 GB. Gdyby przestrzeni dyskowej było za mało, model ten posiadał wolną zatokę na dysk 2,5 cala.

Dwurdzeniowy procesor Core i7-7500U ma bazowe taktowanie w wysokości 2,7 GHz i maksymalne na poziomie 3,5 GHz. Jednostka ta ma zaimplementowaną funkcję Hyper-Threading. TDP tego procesora wynosi 15 W.

W testach Cinebench R15 UX310UA osiągnął całkiem dobre wyniki, odrobinę lepsze nawet od rezultatów wyposażonego w ten sam procesor Asusa UX310UQ.

W przeciwieństwie do przetestowanego wcześniej modelu UX310UQ omawiany laptop nie posiada dodatkowej karty grafiki. Ma on tylko zintegrowany z procesorem układ grafiki HD Graphics 620. Jest on o 20-20% wydajniejszy od starszego układu HD Graphics 520. Nie jest jednak tak wydajny, jak karta grafiki GeForce 940MX. W teście 3DMark Fire Strike rezultaty graficzne Asusów UX310UQ z kartą GeForce 940MX były o ponad 40% lepsze od wyniku bohatera niniejszej recenzji.

Nasz UX310UA otrzymał dysk SSD marki Micron o pojemności 256 GB. Według producenta powinien on osiągać odczyt sekwencyjny w wysokości 530 MB/s i zapis na poziomie 500 MB/s. W teście AS SSD odczyt sekwencyjny osiągnął 494 MB/s a zapis - tylko 368 MB/s. Pozytywnie natomiast trzeba ocenić odczyt 4K, który przekroczył 25 MB/s.

W mierzących ogólną wydajność testach PCMark 8 Asus UX310UA otrzymał podobne noty, jak wyposażony w procesor i7-7500U, dysk SSD marki SanDisk i 16 GB pamięci RAM Asus UX310UQ.

Asus UX310UA to elegancki laptop, który wyróżnia się przede wszystkim bardzo dobrą jakością wykonania. Jest to dość lekki komputer, ale jego obudowa jest solidna. Wydajność procesora Core i7-7500U nie jest ograniczana. Dysk SSD o pojemności 256 GB jest wystarczający. Wydajność zintegrowanego układu grafiki HD Graphics 620 jest odpowiednia do zadań stawianych ultrabookowi. Na pochwałę zasługuje też niezła matryca. Wyposażenie w złącza zewnętrzne jest całkiem bogate jak na mały laptop.
