Test Belinea b.book 5

Bubel. b.book 5 to jeden z notebooków od niedawna obecnej na naszym rynku marki Belinea, która należy do niemieckiej firmy MaxData. Dysponuje on  kartą graficzną GF 8400M GS i procesorem C2D T7500. Jak na swoje wyposażenie jest niewyobrażalnie drogi.

Obudowa

Czarny b.book 5 powstał w oparciu o kadłubek Quanta TW7, który jest używany w wielu konstrukcjach różnych marek. Jeśli wydaje się on Czytelnikowi znajomy, to już mówimy – ten sam szkielet wykorzystano w testowanych przez nas kiedyś Aristo Smart 500 i Prestige 1800. Nie znaczy to jednak, że jest to kadłubek dobry, bo nie jest.

Wzornictwo obudowy jest dość grobowe i laptop ten nie będzie się podobał. Może jednak być tolerowany przez, którzy są estetycznymi profanami. W obudowę b.booka włożono bowiem jeszcze mniej serca niż w budy wspomnianych Aristo, w których to przypadku kilka drobnych retuszów i stylizacji pomogło nieco ogładzić surowy i smutny wyraz tajwańskiego kadłubka.

Komputer jest dość ciężki, przynajmniej takim się wydaje (w rzeczywistości waga 2,84 kg z akumulatorem jest standardowa w tej kategorii wielkościowej). Wykonano go z podrzędnej jakości materiałów.

Wieko ma fakturę politury na powierzchni czegoś, co przypomina sklejkę. Jak dotąd nie spotkaliśmy się z takim wynalazkiem i jest on chyba ewenementem na rynku. Posiadacz nie będzie raczej głaskać tej powierzchni, ale dla porządku trzeba napisać, że w dotyku wypada ona tak sobie. Na testowanym przez nas egzemplarzu można było zobaczyć w tym miejscu kilka dość szerokich, ale nie głębokich śladów, których nie dało się usunąć przez czyszczeniu pokrywy ściereczką. W razie mało uważnego obchodzenia się z komputerem, mogą one mocno oszpecić klapę.

Wieko nie ugina się nadmiernie i można być zadowolonym z jego odporności na nacisk. Zawiasy chodzą raczej marnie, gdyż konsekwencją zmiany ustawienia jest kiwanie się ekranu. Poważnym mankamentem jest jednak ograniczenie maksymalnego kąta rozwarcia ekranu do 110-115 stopni.

Plastik na pulpicie jest dość mizernej jakości. Ugina się w miejscu oparcia dłoni, ale to cechuje nawet ThinkPady, więc nie będziemy zanadto zrzędzić. Kiedy ścisnąć mocniej prawy bok platformy roboczej, plastik będzie niepokojąco trzeszczał.

Wygląd wyłącznika i przyległych do niego przycisków specjalnych z diodami powyżej budzi odruch politowania. Są one zaznaczone w formie, w której powstaje ten fragment obudowy, i tym samym nie wyglądają pięknie. Oznaczenia wtapiają się w czarne tło i trzeba się nad nimi nachylać, by odczytać, co jest do czego. Porażka w wymiarze estetycznym i funkcjonalnym.

Osprzęt

Klawiatura jest niefajna, bo się ugina a przez to hałasuje (klekot). Klawisze są twarde i mają zbyt krótki skok, by pisało się wygodnie. Dokuczliwym problemem jest fn zamieniony z lewym ctrl. Poza tym dał się nam we znaki klawisz del umieszczony w głupim, mało charakterystycznym miejscu (pomiędzy pauzą a insertem) – to zbyt ważny klawisz i powinien wylądować w bardziej wyróżniającym się miejscu. Klawisze są zbite w kupę, bez wyraźnego podziału, ale nie jest to specjalnie uciążliwe w trakcie pisania. Dzięki temu wygospodarowano duże klawisze kursora, choć są one wciśnięte pomiędzy inne bez zostawienia żadnego odstępu – na tym obszarze mogą się zdarzać pomyłki.

Można na nią marudzić, ale touchpad jest dużo mniej ergonomiczny od klawiatury. Tabliczka wykazuje bardzo ograniczone właściwości ślizgowe, co mocno utrudnia sterowanie kursorem. Większą kulą u nogi są wszelako przyciski towarzyszące, które stawiają nader mocny opór, głośno klikają i – po stronach zewnętrznych – są tak twarde, że odechciewa się z nich korzystać w trosce o dobro stawów. Polecamy zatem pukanie w tabliczkę, a najlepiej powierzenie sterowania kursorem dobrej myszce zewnętrznej.

Obraz

b.book 5 otrzymał matową matrycę 15,4” WXGA (1280x800) firmy Chi Mei. Podświetlenie jest dość słabe, ale jak na matrycę matową nie w stopniu drastycznym. Szczytowa wartość maksymalnej luminancji wynosi 155,4 cd/m², a uśredniona - tylko 140 cd/m². Rozświetlenie kształtuje się na poziomie 81,3%. Można więc powiedzieć, że ekran jest równomiernie podświetlony. Słabo wypada natomiast w kontrast. Jego maksymalna proporcja to 141:1. Rażącą właściwością wyświetlacza są jasne smugi ciągnące się od dołu w górę pracującego monitora. To częsty widok w matrycach stosowanych w laptopach, ale w b.booku to zjawisko jest szczególnie natężone. Jako taką czerń można „złapać” tylko w idealnym położeniu względem oczu, a i tak jest ona nieco mleczna.

Odwzorowanie barw pozostawia zresztą sporo pożyczenia. Trzeba jednak przy tym zaznaczyć, że nie odbiega znacząco od matryc lustrzanych stosowanych w laptopach z niższej półki (mieliśmy porównanie, gdyż akurat dwa takie testowaliśmy jednocześnie – trudno było dojrzeć znaczące różnice).

Kąty widzenia w zakresie pionowym były wyraźnie szersze niż te lustrzanej matrycy o.booka 1, nie na tyle jednak, by odczuwać z tego powodu większe zadowolenie. Może jednak jesteśmy zbyt wybredni.

Osiągi

Co prawda lokuje się on wysoko na stosowanej przez producenta sześciostopniowej (1-6) skali zaawansowania technologicznego, wyposażenie b.booka 5 nie jest jakieś wybitne.

Procesor faktycznie jest nie byle jaki, bo Core 2 Duo T7500 (2,2 GHz) zalicza się do mocniejszych jednostek Intela i jest ze wszech miar godny polecenia, jeżeli zależy nam na wysokiej wydajności. W tym wypadku należy jednak pamiętać, że podbija on mocno cenę całego zestawu.

Karta graficzna z kolei nie przyprawia o zawrót głowy. Nvidia GeForce 8400M GS to dobry wybór, jeśli nie chcemy ograniczyć się do prac biurowych i trochę pograć w mniej wymagających tytułach na lepszych detalach. Najnowsze gry można sobie jednak darować.

Wpływ na otoczenie

Hałas

Biorąc pod uwagę wspomnienia z testu laptopów Aristo opartych na tym samym kadłubku, byliśmy przygotowani na to, że o.book 5 okaże się dość głośny. Rzeczywistość była jednak bardziej bolesna i notebook Belinea przelicytował podobne sobie konstrukcje. To, co on wyprawia, to jakiś hardkor.

W trybie bezczynnym, a także kiedy komputer jest obciążany niewymagającymi zadaniami, wentylator pracuje ostro (natężenie hałasu wynosi nieprzerwanie około 40 dB) przez dłuższy czas i nawet pomimo wybrania planu oszczędzania energii. Chwilową ulgę, kiedy nie wyje, bardzo się docenia. Wybór planu zrównoważonego czy wysokiej wydajności oznacza skazanie się na ciągłą pracę wentylatora.

W przypadku poddania podzespołów większym obciążeniom, kiedy wydzielają one więcej ciepła, jest oczywiście jeszcze gorzej. Poziom hałasu wynosi przeważnie 43 dB, a jego maksymalne natężenie to 47 dB. Wówczas przemienia się on już w intensywny wizg nieomal.

Ciepło

Pomimo całego hałasu, którego jest źródłem, układ chłodzenia jest do luftu, a obudowa komputera nagrzewa się podczas pracy z obciążeniem okrutnie. Co prawda temperatura otoczenia w miejscu przeprowadzania testów była o parę stopni wyższa niż podczas prób z podobnie wyposażonym Aristo Prestige 1800, wartości osiągnięte w teście obciążeniowym o.booka 5 były aż o kilka czy nawet naście (na pulpicie) kresek wyższe.

Przedstawiony poniżej diagram nie kłamie. Wskazania pirometru sprawdziliśmy dla porządku termometrem z sondą dotykową, a także zweryfikowaliśmy metodą organoleptyczną. Dotykanie spodu komputera w miejscu, gdzie jego temperatura wynosiła prawie 55 stopni, było niebezpieczne. Parzył on po prostu dłonie! Niedopuszczalnie gorący stawał się też wierzch platformy roboczej. 

Cóż zatem po wydajnym procesorze i niezintegrowanej karcie graficznej, kiedy w trosce o własne zdrowie i jakikolwiek komfort użytkowania lepiej ich nie przemęczać?

Głośniczki są o tyle lepsze niż w o.booku 1, że nie atakują słuchu świdrującymi dźwiękami. Ich głośność maksymalna jest zdecydowanie niższa, ale da radę ich słuchać. 

Wydajność akumulatora

Belinea b.book 5 osiąga na tym samym akumulatorze identyczne bez mała przebiegi jak Aristo Prestige 1800 (przypomnijmy, że to ten sam kadłubek z podobnymi podzespołami).

Jeżeli użytkownik korzysta z możliwości komputera w znikomym stopniu, a obraz jest maksymalnie przyciemniony, czas pracy może się zbliżyć do trzech godzin. Korzystanie z sieci przez WiFi i przy dopasowanej jasności obrazu potrwa dwie godziny.

Podsumowanie

Belinea b.book 5 to laptop, który nie znalazł naszego uznania. Kadłubek Quanty, który jest podstawą do jego produkcji, poznaliśmy już wcześniej i nie mamy na jego temat dobrego zdania. Tymczasem w niemieckim wydaniu siostrzanej marki MaxDaty wypada on gorzej od polskiego odpowiednika, czyli Aristo Prestige 1800.

Zastosowane podzespoly nie powalają, choć trzeba docenić wydajny procesor dwurdzeniowy Intela.

Trudno w to uwierzyć, ale laptop ten, w podobnej do testowanej konfiguracji (z matrycą lustrzaną w miejsce matowej) jest sprzedawany w cenie 4,5 tys. zł. Trzeba mieć tupet, żeby oferować za takie pieniądze sprzęt tak lichej jakości. To jawne szukanie jelenia, powiedzmy sobie bez ogródek.

b.book 5 to naszym zdaniem bubel przede wszystkim dlatego, że wyje nawet przy wykonywaniu najprostszych prac, a do tego nagrzewa się wprost piekielnie. Przy czym nie były to na pewno wada konkretnego egzemplarza czy skutek usterki – podobny Prestige 1800 przejawiał analogiczne, choć nieco złagodzone właściwości.

Największą zaletą notebooka Belinea jest naszym zdaniem wliczone w cenę (stąd może jej rozmiary) roczne ubezpieczenie komputera w firmie Allianz (program Bezpieczny Komputer – by do niego przystąpić, należy zarejestrować sprzęt na stosownej witrynie internetowej). Powiedzmy sobie jednak szczerze – kto by chciał świsnąć taki koszmarek?
